Do I Need a Buyer's Agent if I'm Buying New Construction?

YEESSSS!! If you plan on buying a new construction home for sale in Hendersonville, NC, Asheville, NC, or any of the surrounding areas, (or anywhere!) please use a Buyer's Agent (aka, Me 😉).


Here's why:

First and foremost, the agents in new home communities represent the builder. The listing agent on any new construction home represents the builder. Period. That, in itself, is reason enough to have a Buyer's Agent in your corner. It is in your best interest to have your own representation should something go sideways.


As an Accredited Buyer's Representative who is certified in New Construction Home Buying, here are some other ways I can help you when buying a new construction home.


I can help you understand and navigate the building process, whether you are buying a lot/home package within a new home community, or building a home from the ground up on your own property with a new construction loan.

I will help you sift through information and choices more quickly, so you don't lose


out on opportunities. I will review the builder's contract with you, alert you when the deal seems one-sided, and advise when legal counsel might be needed. I can obtain reports on any subdivision you are interested in so you can be aware of specific data relating to that subdivision. I can help you research builders' reputations, and already know many of them in our area.


On top of that, I have quite a bit of personal experience around new construction. We built our home in Ashley Woods acting as our own general contractor. I'm familiar with the process of building a home, from financing to choosing land, from choosing a house plan that will work with that land to working with builders and subcontractors, to seeing the home through to completion. Additionally, I have relationships with home builders, and have experience being in and around new construction homes in general.


Currently, I'm in the process of getting my own General Contractor's license to further the value I bring to my community. All of these things help me to bring value to YOU, should you decide to buy - or build - a new construction home.
